Welcome to Atlas

Obstacle Course Racing. Whether you're a seasoned pentathlete or an OCR enthusiast — competitive or recreational — you’ll find a place here.

Modern Pentathlon is made up of five sports: Running, Shooting, Swimming, Fencing, and now Obstacle Course Racing. As of the Paris Olympics, OCR has officially replaced Horse Jumping as the fifth discipline, ushering in an exciting new era for the sport.

Atlas is a proud member of Pentathlon Alberta and Pentathlon Canada, working closely with Calgary’s renowned Ares Pentathlon & Fencing Club. While Ares continues to lead in the original four disciplines, Atlas is here to champion the future — OCR.

Our club is incredibly fortunate to be housed at Breathe Parkour, a premier facility known for its world-class coaching and commitment to athlete development. Breathe has gone above and beyond in supporting Atlas and the future of OCR in Pentathlon — even building Canada’s first full UIPM-standard Pentathlon Obstacle Course. Their dedication runs deep: Breathe is fully invested in training Atlas athletes as they strive for LA 2028 and beyond. We’re deeply grateful to Breathe for giving Atlas a home and creating a space where future Olympic hopefuls can realize their full potential.

All Atlas athletes have the opportunity to compete at city, provincial, and national levels, with many of our youth athletes (ages 15 and up) qualifying to represent Team Canada on the international stage. It’s a proud point of distinction — and a powerful motivator for anyone chasing their next challenge.
